At Work on Be, we focus on promoting self-awareness, personal growth, consistency of character, and a sense of worth because we firmly believe that everyone is enough and can grow and mature to become a character-centered leader despite their weaknesses and imperfections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We target young people as they are the most vulnerable yet hold the potential to shape the future of their families and countries. Our mission is to help them develop a sense of purpose early on. The resources on our blog empower individuals to take ownership of their lives, make conscious daily choices, set clear goals, and establish boundaries to focus on priorities. More importantly, we aspire for every young individual to approach their life from a standpoint of worthiness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In my journey, I once believed that courage, authenticity, and character were time-bound goals. However, I’ve learned that they are lifelong choices. Ceasing to practice them results in stagnation. Young men and women need solid systems to grow mentally and psychologically. Challenges like character flaws, fear of judgment, low self-esteem, and the desire to please everyone can impede growth and kill dreams. These emotions are detrimental to mental health, eroding self-love, affecting self-worthiness, and delaying self-awareness and ultimately, personal growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When I was young, I was fortunate to have the guidance of skilled mentors who assisted me in deepening my self-awareness, building strong convictions, and defining guiding values \u2014 to build up my character. Conversely, many teens and young adults fall prey to negative mindsets, comparisons, toxic companies, and a lack of self-love. This challenge is widespread but can be effectively addressed through intentional choices and the establishment of boundaries. I had to learn to embrace discomfort, say no to please everyone, and stop blaming myself or pretending to be someone I wasn’t. The most significant triumph in my life was achieving self-awareness and gaining control over my soul. My most formidable battle was the fight for freedom from these destructive emotions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Young people often make a big mistake by thinking their value comes from outside things \u2014 that’s a really big error. Like, some might believe that not getting enough “likes” on social media or not having others’ approval makes them less valuable. These outside factors can become strongholds by taking over and making someone lose their freedom and true self. It’s important not to think your value depends on what others think because they might not know you. Get rid of negative thoughts quickly to avoid getting caught up in bad habits. The freedom of the soul is something everyone deserves, but not everyone gets to experience it. Life is a practice, and you’re enough just as you are now. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
